Everyone has a story to tell. Come & find out how to tell yours – and share the stories of others…

* Want to make a start ?

* Full of ideas, but not sure how or where to begin?

* Want to write for your own interest, for your family – or even for publication?

* Lack confidence in how to put your thoughts on paper?

* Then come and join our friendly, informal sessions, and make a start…

Our sessions are in groups of up to 12, and are friendly, supportive and open to all, whether you’ve ever written before or not. Each daytime meeting will be 90 minutes of enjoyable and thought-provoking activities to help you develop your writing skills. You’ll also look at and discuss the words of others.

A typical session might consist of:

* a 5 minute writing game
* a short reading
* a chat about what we’ve read
* a simple “how to” activity eg: describe a place, sketch a character in words, bring a conversation to life…
* a longer guided writing activity
* a chance to share your work, ask questions etc

Everyone is encouraged to contribute to Writing Lives, an anthology of short life stories written by group participants, and also to record their work for broadcast on Swindon 105.5.

Cost: £5 per session (£3 concs.)
