I am a textile/mixed media artist. I was born in Bristol, achieved A level art & later a BA Hons in Cultural Studies, then I discovered textile art & took City & Guilds Creative Embroidery- parts 1 & 2 at Hereford Art College.
My inspiration comes from organic forms, landscape & ancient artefacts, many seen during my extensive travels, visiting Uzbekistan, Venezuela, the Caribbean & Africa.
I use fibres, together with recycled materials, beads & simple stitching. My work ranges from framed 2D pieces to smaller items including jewellery & felted 3D objects & cards. Superb giclee prints of my landscape based pieces are available. Commissions are undertaken.
