Celtic knotwork, English literature and early Italian Renaissance art are some of the things which have inspired me.
In my work I hope to produce a multi-layered image usually involving the human figure. I am interested in the formal design of a painting or sculpture as much as its narrative content.
A picture works for me when it has an air of mystery as well as being decorative and formally satisfying.
