I was born in 1969 in London, to English/Australian parents. In my formative years I was an expatriate in Hong Kong, offering exposure to global visual influences. I studies Arts Foundation at Eastbourne College of Arts and Technology and Silversmithing BA (hons) in the School of Design and Manufacture at Leicester Poly (now De Montfort Uni)
I am a self employed artist, working as “Metal Myths”, batch producing a range of products, such as bowls and candlestick holders. Attempting to achieve financial viability as an artist; the end product were neither of the art or craft world. Upon having children, I took on the role of house husband; whilst getting a body of art work together. As the children become older; I am setting out to establish myself as an artist. To take plumbers scraps; and reshape into something that evokes the senses, is magical. In our age of mass production, society also needs people to produce items that are not restrained by time and money.
