I always find it difficult to write about my art, as it is a continual part of my growth as a person.  During the 1960s I was unable to take up my place at Maidstone College of Art.  Instead my work as a Display artist gave me an outlet for my creativity and an opportunity to earn a living.  I moved on to become a Mobile Display Artist on the South Coast.  Windows were my introduction to installations.  And that was my art, on continual display with a very wide public.

My formal Art studies started after I moved to Swindon. During 1995 I began a Foundation course at Euclid St. Art College and then continued at the “Drawing Course “at Swindon Art College.

I have always loved drawing and have been privileged enough to have my work hung along side of Ben Nicholson’s at the Swindon Museum and Art Gallery.

Before retiring I taught art at The Headlands school/Swindon Academy.  I worked with disengaged young people.  Using creativity to enable them to reclaim their self esteem and engage with school life in a positive way.

Now, I am in a position where I can do the art I want to and because I can, I explore whatever comes my way.  It may be drawing, painting, collage or even drawing with wire.  At the moment I am exploring print making and loving every moment of it.
